Dialogues on Upstream Prevention with Prof. Chris Walzer, ED of Health

In the second session of Nature4Health's Dialogues on Upstream Prevention series, Prof. Chris Walzer, Executive Director of Health at the Wildlife Conservation Society (WCS) and Professor of Conservation Medicine at the University of Veterinary Medicine Vienna, presented Prevention at the Source: WCS's Conservation-Centred One Health Approach.

Drawing on more than three decades of work at the wildlife–livestock–human–environment interface, Prof. Walzer shared how WCS applies a conservation-centred One Health approach to address the environmental drivers of disease emergence and advance prevention at the source. The session explores the critical links between biodiversity conservation, ecosystem integrity, and global health security.
